Which topics will I have the opportunity to review in a Cleveland MCAT course?
There are four sections involved the MCAT, which Cleveland MCAT courses assist students in understanding. These four subjects include Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems, Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems, Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior, and Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills. You will be given a total of 6 hours and 15 minutes to finish the entire exam. You will want to get plenty of practice answering questions accurately and efficiently to ensure that you have ample time to complete the full exam.
The Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems part of the exam will involve subjects such as general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and biology. You will be asked to read a series of 10 passages with accompanying questions and 15 questions that are independent of the passages. You will have a total of 95 minutes to finish this section of the exam. When you're studying for this part of the test, you'll want to look over topics that relate to the processes that occur in the human body's cells and organ systems.
Next, in the Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems portion, you will be asked questions relating to physical and chemical principles. The section will consist of 10 sets of passage-based questions, with 15 additional questions that are not related to the passages. As you study for this part of the test, it will be helpful for you to pay special attention to ways in which biochemical, physical, and mechanical processes occur in the body.
During the Physical, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior aspect of the MCAT, you will be asked a series of 59 questions, again based on 10 passages and 15 independent questions. You will be given 95 minutes to answer all questions. In reviewing for this part of the test, you will want to look over topics relating to the ways in which diverse cultural and social aspects of life affect health; you will also want to review basic psychological concepts.
Last, in the Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills part, you will be asked 53 questions based on 9 sets of passages that relate to the humanities and the social sciences. You will be given 90 minutes to finish this part of the exam. These questions will be designed to assess literary skills including English language understanding, verbal reasoning, reading comprehension, and analytical abilities. You will want to practice working with texts prior to taking this part of the exam to strengthen skills in the extrapolation of information, drawing conclusions from texts, and applying new ideas to texts.
