I am currently a student at Yale University. I'm a prospective Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology major on the pre-med track. Throughout high school, I have tutored students in a vast variety of subjects through National Honors Society. I have also worked with ESL students through Spanish Honors Society. As a college student, I have taught various interactive science subjects to New Haven elementary students over zoom as part of the Demos organization. In addition to academic subjects, I have also privately tutored students in violin. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Math and English. In my experience, helping students prepare for Standardized Tests and classroom subjects is the most rewarding. It's unforgettable to see a student's tangible progress, and to help them conquer their difficulties!!

I am in the process now of applying for PhD programs in Computational Biology. I have done research in the field of freshwater ecology and am anticipating the publication of a paper I co-authored in the next several months.

I'm a writer, but I love numbers, and nothing makes me more proud than helping students overcome their biggest challenges. I've scored near-perfect on both standardized tests, and I've been helping students understand how to improve their own scores ever since. I'm also capable of tutoring advanced Music Theory topics, as well as Spanish and Mandarin Chinese

I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in violin performance at the Juilliard School. I have tutored privately and through Chegg Tutoring, Varsity Tutors, PrepExpert, and iLearn World throughout high school and college, with most of my experience being in standardized test prep and English. The most fulfilling moments that I have with my students are when I see them applying previous lessons and skills to new challenges. I believe that a good teacher not only helps a student tackle specific, formulaic kinds of questions, but also imparts the skills necessary for adapting to the diverse intellectual challenges that life presents. My goal is always for my students to leave their sessions having learned something that will be useful for years to come, not just on the next test that they are preparing for. After all, education is a lifelong process!

I'm a sophomore at Vanderbilt University studying computer science, currently focusing on iOS and game development. I like growing as a person, but I find it much more interesting and rewarding to grow other people. Seeing a student change, not in intellect but in perspective, is fascinating. I like to focus more on concepts rather than memorization so that students will have the tools to excel in any facet of academia, beyond some random test that holds too much significance.

I am a college sophomore working towards a degree with honors in Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas. I have spent all my academic life learning how to study effectively, earning high scores on the ACT and SAT, and I am passionate about passing that knowledge on to others. With my performance on standardized tests, I was able to become a National Merit Scholar and obtain a full scholarship to university, a long-time dream of mine. I have very recent experience, so I understand the hurdles that many students face. I want them to feel confident that they have the tools they need to succeed. I love teaching test prep because standardized tests have an enormous impact on people's futures, and I also teach math because it reaches across many fields, from astronomy to robotics. I work with students to encourage a personal path towards learning that is different for everyone.

I am a rising sophomore at Cornell University, studying Human Biology, Health and Society. I am on the premed track and am pursuing a minor in South Asian Studies. I was born in India and grew up in Singapore and Buffalo, NY, where I currently live. This past semester, I tutored middle and high school students in math, biology, and chemistry in Ithaca. I also particularly enjoy tutoring for standardized tests such as the ACT, as I feel it is where students are able to make a lot of progress quickly, and it also tends to be the most rewarding for both the students and for me! As someone who loves making organized and detailed plans, I believe having a clear set of goals for one's future is the key to success, and this can be applied to anything, from a single test to one's entire career. I would love to help my students with setting goals and making plans in their high school and/or college careers, in addition to tutoring a specific subject! In college, I am most involved with Cornell's Hindu Student Council and SPICMACAY, an Indian classical music and dance organization. Outside of academia, I sing South Indian classical music and play many different genres of the piano.

I am a 2023 graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a Finance/Economics major and a minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. I am a passionate student in the math and business realms, as I enjoy the intuitiveness of the former and the real-world potential of the latter. During classes in middle and high school, I developed a reputation of being a good source of help within my classes in a non-tutor capacity, and grew that into a peer tutor role a couple times a week during lunch my senior year of high school. What I hope to accomplish with my tutoring is ensure that you not only achieve your desired grade/score, but see how the different concepts relate to each other in the bigger picture. The more important part is to critically think about the subject matter in other, more unfamiliar contexts. Also, in my math subjects, I seek to provide personal secrets in realms including quicker computation strategies, unique acronyms for certain rules, and other intuitive shortcuts.

I have 6 years of tutoring experience at places including Kumon, Mathnasium, and Purdue University. I have worked with kids of all ages from kindergarten to sophomores in college, each with their own set of unique strengths, and tutored a variety of subjects, including calculus, trigonometry, geometry, thermodynamics, chemistry, and physics. Like many of my previous students, I struggled to understand concepts that I was being taught and was a terrible test taker. However, I found ways to overcome my obstacles and develop an better intuition for what I was learning. I believe that it is only this intuition and understanding that helps overcome these obstacles. My least favorite thing to see people be discouraged, so with a little bit of guidance and reassurance, I want to show people that they are capable of anything they put their mind to.
