I am passionate about helping students thrive because I believe every learner is capable of success when given the right support and encouragement. There is nothing more rewarding than watching a student grow in confidence and ability, especially when they overcome challenges they once thought were out of reach. I take pride in creating a safe, welcoming space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and engaging meaningfully with the material.

With over 20 years of experience in early childhood education, I've had the privilege of working with students from preschool through elementary school. My background includes teaching in both private and public school settings, serving in special education programs, and founding and directing a child-centered preschool that emphasized a nurturing, play-based learning environment. In addition to my work with children, I have also mentored and prepared adults for careers in education, providing guidance on curriculum development, classroom management, and best practices in child development.

I hold a B.A. in Early Elementary Education with a Kindergarten Endorsement from Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame. I tutor a variety of subjects, with a particular passion for early childhood education, literacy, writing, and foundational math. I also enjoy supporting students in developing organizational strategies, study skills, and executive functioning. My favorite subjects to tutor are early literacy and writing, as they empower students to discover their voice and establish a solid foundation for lifelong learning.

My teaching philosophy centers on building meaningful relationships, nurturing curiosity, and tailoring instruction to each learner's strengths and goals. I take a patient, student-led approach that emphasizes encouragement, clear communication, and creative problem-solving. Whether I'm helping a student sound out words or polish an essay, I strive to make learning both joyful and impactful.

Above all, my goal is to help students feel capable, confident, and inspired both in and out of the classroom.
