One of my favorite quotes in regard to education is by one of the founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson.

"Educate and enlighten the whole mass of the people for they are the sure reliance for our liberty," is attributed to Thomas Jefferson, according to google.com emphasizing the importance of widespread education for the preservation of freedom and democracy; essentially stating that an informed citizenry is the only true safeguard against tyranny.

I have taught K-12 and High school students back in my country-of-origin Nigeria. In the U.S, I have taught Financial Literacy with Junior Achievement to K-12 schools and mentor ungraduated students from my Alumni. In addition, I have a cybersecurity blog educating and creating awareness and also educate and coach taxpayers when preparing their taxes.

I got a bachelor's degree in accounting from Nigeria and a Master's of Science degree in Accounting from the Quinlan School of Business, Loyola University, Chicago. I have the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Illinois Public Adjuster (ILPA) designation and keep current of recent development in our fields through Continuing Professional Education. So, I am involved in lifelong learning.

Being a CPA, I can teach Taxation, Basics of cybersecurity, Business Environment and concept because I keep current and have practical experiences in these areas. And can also coach students for GMAT.

My teaching philosophy is to:
-speak in plain English

-be inclusive and make students feel confident to take charge of their education by inviting active participation and this could be verbal or written.

-That lifelong learning keeps you intelligent and gives your abilities.

My style of teaching is flexible and could be adapted to the audience to engage them in the learning. To have student collaborate in a safe environment and continuously stive to improve. And be open to new ideas and techniques.
