Having completed my Master's in Education from Fitchburg State University, with a focus on teaching and curriculum alongside a minor in history, my educational journey has been fortified with deeper insights and pedagogical expertise. Prior to this, I graduated from The School of Visual Arts with a Bachelor's in Illustration and Cartooning, further enriched by a minor in art history.

Since attaining my degrees, my professional trajectory has been diverse and fulfilling. I've contributed to the literary world by authoring and illustrating comic books, graphic novels, and three instructional books on comic creation, the latter of which have been published by Barron's Educational Books.

My ardor for education has propelled me into various roles. Through the Sylvan Learning program in California, I've provided tutoring services for children and taught adults Photoshop and drawing in multiple settings, including libraries, schools, and private lessons. Notably, I've had the privilege of sharing my expertise at prestigious institutions like the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, MA, enriching the learning experiences of individuals spanning diverse age groups.

Moreover, I've held a teacher position at a private art school in San Francisco. I mentored BFA/MFA students and high schoolers with aspirations in video games, comics, and illustration. My instructional portfolio encompasses a broad spectrum of subjects, including studio arts, liberal arts, and digital tools, particularly on refining drawing mechanics and digital skills.

I am certified as a Social Studies teacher and hold a teaching position for 8th grade at West Tisbury School in MA. Within this role, I cover an extensive range of subjects, including World History, U.S. Government, and Civics, fostering a comprehensive understanding of past and present cultures and events among my students.

Although my teaching repertoire is broad, my deepest passions lie in Drawing, History, and Literature. I advocate for education's transformative potential, recognizing it as pivotal to enriching a student's quality of life through patience and guidance met with challenges and knowing that each student has my full support for learning success.

In my leisure time, I engage in activities that enrich my life, such as reading, traveling, collecting vinyl records, and cherishing moments with my children.
