I am a PhD Candidate (ABD) scheduled to defend my dissertation by May 2024 in Southern Illinois University-Carbondale's Econometrics and Quantitative Economics program. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed a solid foundation in macroeconomics, and microeconomics, coupled with expertise in Monetary, Financial and International Economics. In addition, I hold a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis on Finance and Data science from Henderson State University. I have research interests in three broad streams. The first stream focuses on systemic banking and financial crises in developing economies and the links to monetary and fiscal policy. The second focuses on financial innovations in emerging economies, digital financial ecosystem development, and the role of economics of innovation in achieving several of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to financial inclusion, poverty reduction, and economic growth. The third covers research on the role and effects of psychological, emotional, social, and cognitive factors on decision-making in financial markets.
