Growing up as a first generation Asian American citizen and the oldest child in my family to graduate from college at a university, I have always been passionate in helping others and teaching others to advance their career through education. The past eleven years of my life, I have dedicated my career to the field of nursing. I graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and then in 2021, earned my Master's degree in Nursing Education. My background in nursing involves oncology and bone marrow transplant, medical-surgical nursing and progressive care. Working in oncology has allowed me to empathize with my patients and provide patient-centered care, the need to teach at the patient's level. This teaching method has also translated into how I tutor and teach nursing students, the importance of teaching at the student's level. My favorite part of tutoring is at the 1:1 level where we can work together to go over what you have learned and how to apply it to nursing and health related concepts. NCLEX was a tough licensure exam, but I powered through and aced it in an hour with the minimum 75 questions answered! I want to give my students the same confidence to understand health related concepts and ace their licensure boards so they can practice as excellent healthcare workers out in the community.
