Would you like to enjoy learning, build skills that last, and feel confident in your career? Do you want a mentor who cares about you and your goals? It is my passion to help students be successful in any learning environment they find themselves in. It is an honor to be a part of your journey to success! I am an adjunct professor at a university. I have an extensive teaching and mentoring background.

I understand that not everyone learns the same way, which is why I try to bring different elements of tutoring sessions. For visual learners I strive to use pictures, diagrams, and videos, for kinesthetic learners I incorporate drawing, diagraming, and games, and for auditory learners I strive to use lectures, videos, and discussion of the content. I try to make learning as fun and engaging as possible. I believe working as a nurse requires patience, compassion, and a warm heart. I try to bring these elements not only into my practice, but into my tutoring as well.

I believe that seeking to deeply understand content so that your knowledge base can be applied to a variety of scenarios and questions is crucial in your journey. One of my favorite quotes is from Einstein "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough." Helping students understand content by explaining it simply while using evidence-based literature to increase critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and clinical judgment is so important for the Next Generation NCLEX (NGN). This is also important for other subjects: TEAS, Anatomy & Physiology, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, and many more. I want you to be confident in the firm foundation that you are building. As a nurse educator, my goal is to nurture a diverse community of learners by establishing a relationship with the student learner and engaging the student to realize their potential and success. It enables me to influence the lives of others and assist in the learning process.

After assessing the unique needs of my students I develop an individualized plan that will bridge the gap between the learner's starting point and their end-learning goal. Any educational journey is not for the faint of heart! I would love to come alongside you and help you develop the skills you need to be successful! If you are excited and ready to learn, I'm ready to assist you in facilitating the process of meeting your goal. I would love to help you learn and enjoy what you are learning in a way that will stick to your cerebral cortex. Please feel free to contact me when you are ready to begin your new journey!
