I am a 2nd year student at Columbia University in New York, currently studying at Trinity College in Dublin through their Dual BA program. I am studying a STEM major, Earth Sciences, with a specialization in chemistry. I am familiar with working with students from a variety of backgrounds; I volunteered teaching primary school subjects to children from Somalia in a local housing community and last summer I taught a diverse set of students with differing English skills about environmental science. Besides having a background in STEM, I also have a personal passion for literature, English, and editing. I've refined my skills as a science staff writer for our University newspaper. Although I don't believe in standardized tests as a measure of knowledge, I understand how important doing well on them can be and am ready to help get you to the level you need. I am most experienced with the ACT, taking it three times, once when I was 14 as an end of year exam and twice more as a Junior. I am ready to improve your scores in all the sections, but particularly in English, Reading and Science.
