I have taught elementary school for eight years in grades 3, 4, and 5. My subject areas included math, reading, writing, science, social studies, and the arts. I am looking forward to tutoring in those areas as well as others.

Through these years of experiences I have learned that all students can learn if they are provided with enough support and encouragement. Also, humor keeps things light and motivating.

I received my Elementary Education Degree and Music minor from Brigham Young University. After teaching for several years, I went on to complete a Masters in Teacher Leadership from Utah Valley University.

My goal when tutoring is to lead students to concept mastery as soon as possible by tracking their progress and providing specific support where they need it and helping them reflect on their strengths as they gain confidence in their abilities. For students who pick up concepts quickly, we will delve into the subject from all different angles. This wholistic approach to learning will include appreciating the subject from several lenses.
