My teaching philosophy is to first and foremost identify the student's needs then prepare a plan that works best to cover all the challenges the student may face.
Preparation and knowledge lower anxiety. A well-prepared student tackles any subject with motivation and confidence.
I hold a degree in Criminology from the City University of New York, a BA in Liberal Arts with a minor in Creative Writing from SNHU, and a Yale University writer's workshop alumni. I have taught numerous courses at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, the U.S. Army Western Hemisphere Institute for Security, and other law enforcement teaching venues. I am fully bilingual (English-Spanish) and currently a retired federal criminal investigator (Supervisory Special Agent ret.) and a U.S. Army veteran.
