In 2015, I graduated from the University of Arizona, where I received a Bachelor of Science (Molecular and Cellular Biology) and a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Physiology). Since then I have obtained a Master in Science (Molecular Medicine) from Tulane University. In the fall of 2021, I will begin medical school at Tulane SOM. I first started tutoring by teaching English to adult refugees and teaching Japanese to elementary school children. During my undergraduate career, I was a preceptor for introductory biology. Most recently I was a STEM educator for young children! I most enjoyed creating fun lesson plans to teach difficult biology topics! As a native Japanese speaker, I have always enjoyed bringing my culture to those around me!
