I am a graduate of Union College, Schenectady, NY and was approved to attend the Shakespeare/Directing program at the British American Drama Academy, (BADA) in order to obtain my Bachelor of Arts degree. I am currently an MBA student with Northcentral University
I have experience, teaching & tutoring children age 4- through adult learners. I have taught private school programs at Greater Dreams Academy (GDA), Seocho; Pagoda Institute, Gangnam; and Wall Street Institute (WSI), Samsung, in Seoul South Korea.
While I tutor adults on a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate and skilled at teaching English/ESL, Adult Literacy, Public Speaking, Theater/Acting, Business English, & Debate/Assertive Speaking. These subjects have been the focal point of my teaching career for about 15 years.
I enjoy helping students prepare real life scenarios such as beginning Culinary school, applying for study abroad programs, job interviews, work promotions, talent auditions, and more!
Both Wall Street Institute and Pagoda Academy voted me # 1 Instructor in 2008 and 2009. During my time with these schools I taught 1:1 tutoring courses focused on building Business English and conversation based skills.
I have an especially high tolerance or patience level for shy learners who may prefer written communication over verbal. One of my most famous cases is singing and acting sensation YeAra aka Jiyoung Sunt. She went from being a shy, young student to a Pop singer and most recently made her debut in musical theater as Abigail from The Crucible.
