I hold a PhD in Atomic and Molecular physics from Western Michigan University. Currently, I am teaching at the department of Physics at Kalamazoo collage.
I have great experience teaching physics to students at different levels. During my PhD program, I was working as a graduate teaching assistant (about 6 years) at WMU. I taught almost all the lab classes offered by the physics department during that period of time. I addition, I worked as tutor in the Physics help room and assisted students to understand how to solve the physics problems.
As a physics tutor, my teaching approach depends primarily on the student's needs and their educational level. I start with what the student already knows about the topic and gradually explain the more advanced concepts/problems. My goal is not to just to solve the problems for students but to teach students how to approach physics problems effectively, by understanding the necessary concepts and strategies. If the student needs my help for a preparation of exam, I help them to summarize what they have already learned in the subject and help them to solve practice problems.
With over 8 years of teaching experience, I am able to work well with students of any educational level for physics and related topics.
