I am a junior at the University of Oklahoma studying Mathematics and Physics, with a minor in English. I am an Honors student and a National Merit Scholar, and achieved a perfect score on the Math portion of the SAT. Since coming to college I have grown to love the subjects I am studying. My enjoyment of academics and an interest in education and personal teaching have led me to tutoring in these subjects. I especially have a passion for one-on-one based learning. I was homeschooled and/or self-taught K through 12 and found tremendous value in a more focused, student-centered style of learning than the traditional classroom provides. This experience has convinced me of the importance and benefit of private tutoring. I also have a firm belief in the value of education for an individual. I want to see every student do well and come to grasp concepts for themselves. I am happy to walk through material slowly and patiently with my students, or to push ahead more quickly, according to their needs: I aim for my tutoring to be centered around the student's learning style. My favorite areas to tutor are Math, Physics, and some English essay writing. I love tutoring Math, particularly pre-Calc, Calc I, & Calc II, and enjoy math on levels ranging from middle school through college. I also like tutoring intro Physics for both high school and college, along with some college essay writing/editing. Feel free to take a look at my profile and find out more about the subjects I tutor!

I am a busy college student, but when I do have leisure time I like to read books (especially classic fantasy - Tolkien is my favorite!), play instruments (guitar, a bit of piano, and some scratchy sounding violin), and go running and rock climbing
