My name is Cassie Zeman!
My educational background includes completion of a Bachelor of Science in Childhood Education and Special Education (Birth-6th grade) at Dowling College in 2010 and a Master's degree in Literacy from Alfred University (Birth-12th grade)
During my teaching experience, I have been able to prepare and conduct lessons that not only stimulated the students' minds, but sparked their interests as well!
I have experience teaching grades prekindergarten to 7th grade. My most recent teaching position is teaching 5th grade for Aloma Elementary School. I was also a reading teacher for Lake Nona Middle School. I worked with struggling readers and provided them with the support they needed to improve their reading skills and pass the reading and writing FSA. I also received a highly effective for my instructional practice score.
Teaching is a passion of mine, and I can think of no other position more gratifying and rewarding. I seek to motivate students and encourage them to do their best. I work hard to get to know my students and become familiar with their learning styles so that I am able to help them become successful!
