I graduated from the University of Kansas in 2015 with a B.S. in Biology, with a concentration in Genetics, and a minor in German. Since then, I have worked in the healthcare industry, first as a Consulting Analyst for electronic medical records software products, and currently as a Physician Documentation Assistant at the University of Kansas Health System while applying to medical schools. Currently, I am preparing to switch gears and return to school for a linguistics program.
The majority of my tutoring experience came during college, while working with classmates to help raise their grades in multiple biology courses, including Genetics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Developmental Biology, and Evolutionary Biology. However, I've tutored other classmates in German, Spanish, chemistry, and physics. In addition to college courses, I've worked with classmates and colleagues to improve their GRE and MCAT scores, with the most improvement seen in the Critical Reading sections. I'm happy to work with students in these subjects, and many others.
In my free time, I love going to trivia nights, rock wall climbing, kayaking, running, cooking, reading, supporting local theater, and seeing a wide variety of films.
