I graduated from the United Stated Naval Academy in May of 2017 as an Oceanography major. I was on the varsity swim team for all 4 years, the President of the Ocean Club my junior and senior year, volunteered with Mids for Kids teaching 7th grade science, and taught Sunday school for 2nd graders at my church. I participated in a summer internship my sophomore year called SWIFT (Severe Weather In Field Training) where myself and a team of students and faculty spent several weeks in the mid-west forecasting and chasing sever weather. My junior year I interned at the United States Naval Research Laboratory with Dr. Steven Ackleson where I assisted in his research on particle aggregation in the water column. After graduating, I commissioned as a Surface Warfare Officer where I currently manage a division of approximately 20 sailors. I love working with students of any age and teaching is something that I feel comes naturally to me. My passion for learning and for leadership has brought me to where I am today as an officer and has been fostered and developed through my 4 years at the Naval Academy.
