I graduated with a bachelor's degree in mathematical Sciences from Kean University and I also have a an associate's degree in criminal justice from Union County College in Cranford NJ.
I worked as a substitute teacher for five years while finishing my degree in the Elizabeth, NJ school district. After I completed my degree in mathematical Sciences I got a job teaching middle school mathematics in the same district. I tutored many of my students after class during my substitute teaching time and my middle school- math teaching assignment. In addition to this, I have tutored students privately who were struggling with mathematics. I have tutored middle school math and high school math, ranging from pre-Algebra to Calculus.
My favorite subjects to tutor are Algebra, Pre-Calculus and Calculus, these are very interesting and lay the foundation for upper-level math courses and that's why I enjoy teaching them so much. I strongly believe that the student must feel safe and motivated to learn when being taught by me and that's my goal with all my students, whether it's in the classroom with a large group of students or one-on-one tutoring a single individual. The student should receive proper guidance and be provided with the tools necessary to achieve his or her learning goals, that's my job and responsibility as an instructor. I like playing the guitar and singing, I'm very much into music. Dancing is also an activity I enjoy very much partaking in. I also enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, walking and snowboarding. Reading and watching educational documentaries are also something I truly love doing.
