I graduated from American University with a degree in International Relations and Religious Studies. I have worked as a tutor for ESL, standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, TOEFL, GED, and more. I also tutor for many AP subjects including American History and Italian Language. My favorite subjects to teach are English language and Italian language. There is something about helping others achieve their goals of communicating in another language that brings me joy. As a lover of travel and culture, languages naturally fascinate me. My teaching philosophy is strongly based on elicitation and helping students arrive at the answer on their own by aiding them with the tools necessary to do so. Learning must be challenging, but it can and should be fun. Outside of tutoring, I love to travel, but I also enjoy curling up on my coach with my dog and watching a good movie. I also love to eat (and therefore cook). I have a massive sweet tooth! My students know that the two ways to my heart are hard work and chocolate!

I love to travel, cook, and watch as many series on Netflix as I can! My favorite thing to do in my free time is discover a new restaurant or stay in and create a new recipe with friends.
