I am a senior at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. I am working towards my Bachelor of Science in Biology, which is expected in April 2019. After I obtain this degree, I plan on attending medical school. This past spring semester I started tutoring at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. I was a peer tutor for the following courses: Biology 2 and labs, Chemistry 1 and labs, Calculus 1, Public Speaking, and Technical Writing. I truly cherished this opportunity; knowledge is power, and I strive to get the most out of my students each and every day. My most proud moment as a tutor was when I helped one of my students receive an A on her last two exams and final to finish with an A in the class. It brought me joy to see how far she came during our short amount of time, along with the rest of my students. Through Varsity Tutors, I am able to tutor in all different levels of Biology and Chemistry, along with Genetics, Organic Chemistry, English, and Public Speaking. I am passionate about each of these subjects, and I relish the opportunity to share my passion with my students. Outside of academia, I am a Division II college basketball player. Also, I enjoy reading, working out, and weight lifting.
