What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Despite the shortcomings that life presents, there is still hope for a brighter future. I know this to be true, for I live as a surviving witness who continues to persevere against irresistible challenges. I believe that dreams come true with much effort and faith, so let me help you along the way. Just know that you are not alone on this journey to success.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I can help a student become an independent learner by allowing him/her to provide feedback from my questions concerning a problem at hand and not just probing him/her about relevant concepts of the topic area.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
I would help a student stay motivated by presenting examples of unresolved questions, yet asking him to reciprocate other examples from his/her understanding.
