Welcome the student ,and make them feel comfortable with the system and me.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

I give them different ways to learn the subject.

How would you help a student stay motivated?

Communication, and engage them all the time.

If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?

Give them live examples outside of the textbooks.

How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?

Take the time, and repeat the reading session several times until the student is able to comprehend the topic.

What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?

Be informal, and build good communication with the student.

How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?

By doing more exercises and getting good scores.

What techniques would you use to be sure that a student understands the material?

By adding different ways to get the information across; adding videos, PowerPoints, reading materials, news, current events, etc.

How do you build a student's confidence in a subject?

By showing the progress that he or she achieved during the session.

How do you adapt your tutoring to the student's needs?

I am always available to help out my students.
