I am a recent graduate of The Ohio State University, where I received a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science Education. At Ohio State, I also was a Defensive Back on the football team, and have tutored many of my teammates. We accomplished much as a team, and became 2014-2015 College Football National Champions. Furthermore, I was named an OSU Scholar Athlete four times, and selected to the Academic All-Big Ten team two times. I will be beginning medical school in August of 2016. Before that begins, I am working as a personal trainer/performance coach, in addition to tutoring.While I can tutor a variety of subjects, I am most effective in teaching science courses. I also am able to help students with test prep, especially the MCAT. My goal as a tutor is to help students achieve their goals in the classroom through both content specific learning, in addition to study skills and time management. In my free time, I enjoy exercising and playing with my 3 month old golden doodle puppy.

I am a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and the University of Texas at Arlington. I received my BA in History at Southern Illinois and my MA in History at Arlington. While attaining my MA, I worked for the UTA academic support center. While there, I tutored various sections of history, including Roman History, American History, and European History. In addition to tutoring, I also worked directly with a history professor as a supplemental instructor. In that position, I led group study sessions to help aid students comprehend the material. I am currently an adjunct history professor at Tarrant County Community College. I love teaching and it is very satisfying to interact with students. I always seem to learn just as much as they do! When I am not teaching history, reading history, or writing about an historical topic, I am probably either watching a baseball game or outside playing golf, disc golf, tennis, or softball.

I recently graduated with a master's degree in Urban Education Policy from Brown University after studying public policy as an undergraduate at Duke University. I hope to pursue a career in education policy in the future, but at present I want to be the best tutor that I can be. Currently I work in an elementary school, grades Pre-K through eighth grade, and assist in various classrooms. I have worked with students of all levels and in various subjects. I tutor English Language Arts, Government, and lower level Mathematics. All three of those subjects are great to tutor, but I am a little biased towards English.
