A 1L student at Columbia Law School, I graduated with Bachelors of Arts in Economics and Honors Chemistry from Vanderbilt University in May 2021. I have over four years of experience in tutoring students in a variety of subjects and use a variety of techniques to adapt lessons to specific student needs.

I am a graduate of North Carolina State University and University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Criminology at N.C. State and my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language with a minor in Education of a Foreign Language for Kindergarten through 12th grade. Since high school graduation, I have traveled to Brazil, the Bahamas, all through the United States and even lived in Costa Rica for a summer. I have tutored a variety of students ranging from elementary school to Spanish-speaking adults. While I tutor a broad range of students, I am most passionate about the Spanish language. In my experience, students tend to find a foreign language class nerve-wracking and intense. I am a firm believer that education can be fun, and that learning a second language broadens anyone's opportunities in life whether it be traveling or finding an awesome job! My favorite things to do in my spare time are reading, doing anything crafty (sewing, refurbishing furniture, etc.) , working out, meeting friends for coffee and laughing with family and friends.

I am currently a student at Columbia University, and I am majoring in Operations Research. I have tutored many other students in high school on 9th/10th grade math, and I am comfortable with tutoring any other subject I am fluent in. In my spare time, I love to exercise and watch anime.I love to teach and help others understand subjects they may need help with. As a graduate of the Institut d'tudes politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) holding a degree in Transatlantic Relations, I am incredibly passionate about both Francophone and Anglophone cultures. As a tutor, I try to transmit that passion to my students. I believe that a language cannot truly be understood without also understanding the culture from which it originated, and vice versa. I also believe that students will be more inclined to learn and practice a language if they are captivated by its culture. I am particularly fascinated by society, history, cuisine, music, and cinema. I try to integrate these subjects into my teaching as much as possible, as they serve as excellent examples of a language at work.I also believe in a practical, real-world approach to language-learning. Over the 8 years that I studied French, the 3 years that I lived and worked in France, and the 2 years that I have taught both French and English, I have experienced an incredibly wide-array of teaching styles. The most successful approaches were those that closely mimicked the cultural and linguistic immersion that I experienced when I actually arrived in France. While memorization is a necessary part of learning any language, understanding the grammatical foundation of that language is more important.Finally, I have experienced French and English in a variety of different environments (academic, professional, social...) and I am happy to cater my lessons to your needs.I look forward to meeting you and sharing my passion for language-learning. bientt!

I am working towards my Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois @Urbana-Champaign. Since helping my peers in both high school and college I learned that I have both a passion and talent for imparting knowledge upon others. I am very excited for the opportunity in helping students achieve their potential. I have found that teaching is very rewarding for myself as well as my students. It helps cement my knowledge of the material and sometimes I can learn a little something from the students as well. I teach a wide variety of subjects including Algebra, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, Biology. My hobbies include swimming, basketball and board games.

I have a Elementary teaching degree as well as a Special Education teaching degree with endorsements in cognitive impairment and autism spectrum disorder. I have been teaching for 9 years and I love to help students learn, especially when they are struggling. I enjoy the challenge of finding new and different approaches that fit each individuals strengths and interests. One of my own children has Autism. I have been fortunate to be able to learn from my experiences as a parent in my teaching.
