I have a BA in Classics from Macalester College and an MA in Classics from Johns Hopkins University. I have highly certified in the state of Arizona for the following subjects: Latin,
Language Arts, Chemistry and general science. I have been teaching for 9 years.

IBM, the computer based company used to have a motto. It was "THINK". My philosophy of teaching is based on a belief that learning needs to be student centered and that students need to be equal partners in the learning process. My role involves using my expertise to put the necessary resources in the hands of the students or more likely to be sure that my students are well equipped to find and evaluate the resources they need to answer their questions. Just like IBM, I want to help develop my students' thinking skills and acquisition of knowledge.

My general hobbies are golf and swimming. I am not the best golfer, but I find it fun.
