My name is Theresa, and I am a junior at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. I am double majoring in Biology and Health: Science, Society, and Policy. I have been teaching since high school, and enjoy working with students. I like being able to help students overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. I have taken a multitude of math and science classes, from elementary school up through the college courses I have taken at my university.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, dancing, and exploring cafes in Boston.

What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is that listening to the student is most important. I like to be flexible and adjust to each particular student's learning style. I prefer to be able to walk the student through questions, to really understand how they are approaching a question. From there, I will guide them through the best ways to approach the question that are still in line with their thought process. I believe in giving constructive criticism to reinforce what the student is doing correctly and still be able to address the issues that the student faces.
