What is your teaching philosophy?

My teaching philosophy is that listening to the student is most important. I like to be flexible and adjust to each particular student's learning style. I prefer to be able to walk the student through questions, to really understand how they are approaching a question. From there, I will guide them through the best ways to approach the question that are still in line with their thought process. I believe in giving constructive criticism to reinforce what the student is doing correctly and still be able to address the issues that the student faces.
