Latin Tutoring review by Kerry in West Jordan, UT
The student did great today. We jumped right into the explanation/exercise set of the past perfect ("pluperfect") tense, which he handled with ease. He completed the entire explanation/exercise set. Good job today!

Latin Tutoring review by Deanna in West Jordan, UT
The student and I started to study for her test tomorrow. She is working on Indirect Commands (Jussive Noun Clauses), cum clauses, and translations from Chapter 35. We went over a lot of the grammatical concepts and anomalies and then practiced them with some English to Latin sentences. I think she's doing really well, she should do fine on this test!

Latin Tutoring review by Elizabeth in West Jordan, UT
The student has a practice exam tomorrow. He can use the book for this. We looked at the practice exam from first semester to see the format of the questions that his teacher may use on tomorrow's test. He went over grammar rules, especially functions of noun cases and terms related to verbs: infinitives, active and passive voice, etc. He is wanting to do as well as possible since this is the last grade to be averaged in for his six-week grade, and will be averaged in with the exam grade. I cautioned him to take his time to read all possible answers tomorrow. Tonight he was doing well with ruling out wrong answers on the multiple-choice items.

Latin Tutoring review by Nicole in West Jordan, UT
We began reviewing for the student's exam on stages 8-10 that is in two weeks. We went through the vocabulary and a majority of the stories from stage 8. The student knows how to translate Latin really well and still struggles with remembering vocabulary. I was glad to go back and review old stories because that tested his knowledge of Latin vocabulary. He is doing really well with Latin, I am beyond happy with his progress.

Latin Tutoring review by David in West Jordan, UT
The student got going through an assignment that was not terribly easy--we were switching verbs (from all different persons, numbers, tenses, and moods) first from active to passive, then from passive to active. It was a good drill to review all of our endings and verb forms. Also, I was able to highlight a few mnemonics for the present subjunctive, e.g. "We beat a liar," "Let's eat caviar," and "She wears a tiara," which breaks down the dominant vowels for each verb conjugation. The student has a test starting tomorrow dealing with a short list of verbs, so we took a quick look at those as well.
