About Me

I grew up in Tampa, FL and attended Hillsborough High School, where I graduated from the International Baccalaureate program. I took several A.P. courses, as well as the I.B. curriculum. I know how rigorous this education can be and I would not have succeeded without the help of some great teachers and tutors. I went on to attend Asbury College in Wilmore, KY, where I graduated with a B.A. in Communications and a double minor in History and Spanish. After college, I took a year off to work before attending law school at Regent University. While in law school I was able to study abroad in Strasbourg, France. I graduated with my J.D. and went on to take the D.C. bar exam. Before moving back to Florida and getting married, I spent three years in Northern Virginia working in international adoption. While there I tutored students in English, Reading and Writing and SAT prep. Once I moved back to Florida I taught online at the masters level for over three years in Research and Social Media Engagement. For the past year I have been a stay at home mom. I'm married to my best friend and childhood sweetheart. Together, we have two awesome kids- a toddler boy and baby girl. I love "reality" tv for all its fun and entertainment. However, there's nothing better than a good book and a full mug of coffee. I love History and specifically the history of our nation and the formation of government. I speak Spanish fluently and have traveled to Latin America several times for humanitarian aid trips as well as my former job in adoptions. Along my educational journey, I had many great teachers and mentors who helped me hurdle mountains. I am honored to be there for you and help you achieve your academic goals. I care about and respect my students and their education.
