I am a secondary English education graduate from Northern Kentucky University, and am currently working on my Master's in Reading education from San Diego State University. Upon graduation, I had the opportunity to teach English at a local high school in Northern Kentucky for two years. After those two years, I knew I needed a change and decided to apply for my graduate degree at San Diego State University. Since my time in San Diego, I have had the opportunity to travel around to many different San Diego City Schools as a visiting teacher.

I have extensive experience teaching/tutoring English in all ages as well as test prep and college essays. I am extremely passionate about education. I am a firm believer that every individual has the right to equal education. The power of language and the written word is vital for human survival and success. I hope that I can be there to help you become more confident in the subject of English and therefore become more confident in school and the future.

While I dedicate a great amount of my life to education, in my spare time I enjoy running, hiking, yoga, healthy eating, the arts, music, and watching movies with friends and family. I also love traveling and experience new cultures. I look forward to meeting you and hopefully helping you achieve success.
