I attended the University of Maryland in College Park, where I earned my degree in Economics. In addition to the Economics coursework, I also took many Science and Math classes in consideration for a career in Medicine. To further my education, I have recently applied to Dental schools as well as a Master's program. I have always enjoyed working with kids as well as teaching/coaching, so tutoring offers the perfect opportunity to do something I really enjoy.
As a student, my favorite subjects were Math, Science, and Art. Of the three subjects, Math is my strongest and also my favorite subject to teach, followed by Sciences (especially Chemistry). Working with kids and teens has taught me the importance of patience and finding ways to keep the material interesting. I have found that the best way to learn is rarely by listening to someone, but instead by doing and having a conversation throughout the learning process.
In my spare time, I love to play and watch rugby, basketball, football and other sports. I also like to paint, but given the choice, I would prefer to be outdoors doing something active like hiking, rock climbing, or camping.
