I received my PhD in Ecology, Evolution and Systematics from the University of Missouri in St. Louis. I was born in Bogota, Colombia where I obtained my bachelor's degree in Biology. I have ample experience teaching particularly biology, statistics, ecology, chemistry, and biochemistry. During my doctorate studies I mentored many undergraduate students majoring in biology with intention of pursuing their premed education. Since graduation, I have taught at Washington University and at Harris Stowe University biology related courses. I have also taught Spanish in Colombia, and have helped many friends with their Spanish courses at Washington University. I believe that a good way to dominate any material is to understand its basic principles in a way that is fun and interesting while studying it. In my spare time, I enjoy playing soccer and running as well as any outdoor activity.
