The student and I prepared him for another quiz over some new material with graphing and functions. He was comfortable with the material after I set up extra practice problems with him, and I feel as though he is well prepared for his quiz.

The student and I met from 5:05-6:40. We discussed the make up tests that he had to take last week and has to complete this week. We also discussed the persuasive paper that is due this Wednesday. Lastly, we spent time working on finding the volume of solids including rectangular prisms, triangular prisms and cylinders.

I covered statistic values and t-table reading and interpretation. I researched these topics online in order to demonstrate this content. I advised the student that he will need to spend time outside of our sessions also in order to practice these concepts.

We timed segments of the test and discussed some timing strategies. He is very close to on time in every section other than math. His scores project within the range he wants to hit for every section other than math as well, so we decided to focus on that section moving forward.

The student had a geometry quiz to correct. We got through it and she understood. We then did a bit of a lab. We finished on a bit of equations of motion to review for the final.

Algebra 1: Went over Slope for her test on Mon. She has a good understanding. I explained she needs to slow down a little. I also explained she should write all the formulas down and practice them over and over again. She has a good understanding of material but still needs to practice and review before the test.
