About Me

I am a graduate of Eastern Illinois University. I received my Bachelor of Science in African American Studies and English, with a focus on Public Administration. I have done extensive work with my community as children's ministry volunteer and home school tutor. I hold a paraprofessional license with the school district, and I'm passionate about supporting children with special needs. I currently work with fifth grade students in the Autism program. I also had great success tutoring children virtually with the 21 century after school program. It is my belief that all students can learn and want to learn. It is my job to meet them where they are and guide them forward. In my free time I enjoy going for walks with my family, listening to podcast on cultivating new life skills, exercising and drawing. My favorite subjects to teach are math, and creative writing.
