About Me

I am a graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage and Western Governors University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary & Special Education. I currently work as a Special Education teacher, but I also had previously worked as a substitute teacher, where I taught students ranging from Kindergarten thru 12th grade. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Literature, and Math. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, we always have the most fun preparing for the Critical Reading and Writing portions of the exams. I am a strong believer that anyone can learn, as it's about how we can find what learning style works best for each student. As a tutor, I hope to enrich student's lives with unique and engaging ways of teaching common core academic skills. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, running, and indulging in my love for traveling.
