About Me

I'm Erin! I'm a substitute teacher in St. Louis and I'm excited to help you succeed. I discovered my passion for teaching at a young age and have been mentoring or tutoring in some capacity ever since. I received my undergraduate degree from Culver-Stockton College and received my master's degree from New York University. I spent the last four years teaching high school English and speech/theatre in Clinton, MO and am prepared to help with everything from persuasive writing to test preparation. To me, the most rewarding part of teaching is helping each student discover what works for them; every learner is different! I challenge my students to look at their work critically in order to forge strong habits and to develop confidence and autonomy. My goal is to empower each student to take an active role in their education and to provide them with the support to fulfill their potential.
