About Me

I'm a Junior majoring in Neurobiology and Physiology at The University of Maryland. I'm currently on the pre-med track and will be applying to medical school in about a year. My goals are to become a cardiologist and give back to the African American community through mentorship, scholarships and after school programs that promote achieving an education and pursuing careers that utilize each specific child's strengths. With such a low percentage of Black doctors in the U.S, I hope to provide a role model figure for youth outside of just a sports player or musician. I want to give hope to them, but also inspire people of all races to pursue their dreams despite their obstacles and despite discouragement. I enjoy tutoring and teaching in general because it allows me to impart my knowledge on other people and hopefully make an impact on a young person that will inspire them to love the subject and spark an interest that can turn into a beloved career for them.
