About Me

I am currently a fourth year medical student at the University of New England and will be starting my Emergency Medicine residency later this summer. I spent several years in the military after college and afterwords attended the University of Pittsburgh majoring in Natural Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. I have tutored throughout college and medical school and love the opportunity to teach someone something new and find a way for them to grasp the concepts intended. I have never been someone who learns from sitting through a lecture and just listening to an instructor talk. It took me years, but I finally found a way that I learn best, which usually includes making outlines and organizing the material in a manner/pattern that I am able to easily recall it. I have also found that using drawings and repetition has been extremely useful for my learning. Thus, I have tried to incorporate identifying students' specific learning style in the first few sessions so I am then able to customize our time together. I give my all to the students I tutor and will do whatever I can do to aid in the learning process.
