About Me

I graduated Cum Laude from the University at Buffalo with a BS in Neuroscience and a BA in Psychology. I earned Dean's list during my last two semesters of undergraduate education, which were my heaviest course loads. I am currently a TA for Forensic Osteology and Comparative Primate Anatomy (which I've helped teach for two years) at UB, and I have done private tutoring for Physiology courses. Most importantly, I enjoy helping people figure out strategies that work for them, and want others to love learning as much as I do. I scored in the 85th percentile on the MCAT, and my strong suits are Biology and Psychology/Sociology. I have written for The Spectrum (the student newspaper at UB) and took English literature courses there; I enjoy writing and can help with English or writing subjects as well. I earned my degrees in Neurobiology and Psychology and would love to help you learn both. Some of my favorite classes were Microbiology, Clinical Neurobiology, and Comparative Primate Anatomy. I am currently doing research in Immunological Oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, work as a pharmacy technician, and work in the emergency department at a Level 1 trauma center as an emergency technician and research assistant (which I have been doing for nearly four years).I understand how it feels to be working hard and not seeing results when you take a test or hand in a lab report. My academic success came only after having struggled to figure out the study habits and techniques that work best for me. I encourage students to work hard, but to be relaxed about their learning so that they can walk away actually knowing and understanding valuable information, rather than just memorizing a bunch of facts. I have a flexible schedule and would love to help you learn some cool science.
