About Me

I received my degree in Special Education and Elementary Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I moved down to Maryland from Pennsylvania three years ago and I love it! I am currently a Special Education teacher at at an elementary school in Prince Georges County. I have been a special education teacher for several years and love teaching children with a wide range of abilities. I am excited to get to know you and your child! Some of my hobbies and interests include reading, cooking, skiing, traveling, and hiking.

I believe all students have the ability to learn and the right to access an education that is best for them. I know that every student's learning style is different, and it is my responsibility to teach based on their learning style. I believe that all children are important, and getting to know them will help drive my instruction. How can you help a student become an independent learner? A great way to help a student become an independent learner is to provide the student with checklists to help them gear their independent work.
