About Me

I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2012 and am now working on a DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) from the University of St Augustine for Health Sciences, located in south Austin. Currently, I enjoy yoga, flag football with a social league, boardgames, and trying out new recipes. In the past, I have tutored Math and Reading ages 3-15 and for high school students in various levels of Math, Sciences, and English. I also have some experience aiding college students through coursework while leading group study sessions. I also taught elementary aged children the importance of nutrition and an active lifestyle as an after school instructor in AISD. I worked with them on their homework as part of the program as well. In addition to previous tutoring jobs, I also have experience in having actually taken several AP tests, SAT, PSAT, ACT, GRE, and MCAT, so I am available to help you or your child tackle their next big education obstacle. I can tutor in elementary and middle school Math and Reading, Grammar and Mechanics, English, Biology, Anatomy, Physiology. My favorite of these would have to be in the sciences and test prep. When I study, I like to have a little fun by making up mnemonics or drawing pictures and charts to help me understand the bigger picture and where each detail of information falls into it. However, everyone learns differently, so my philosophy is to adapt to whichever method a student needs to most effectively and thoroughly understand the material.
