About Me

I graduated from Washington and Lee University in 2015 with degrees in International Politics and Sociology while also becoming proficient in Russian. I will be attending American University Washington College of Law this upcoming fall and pursuing a dual JD and masters in US Foreign Policy and National Security. I have both official and unofficial tutoring experience dating back to middle school, and have most experience with tutoring middle and high school students in Reading Comprehension, English, Writing, History, Government, and Algebra. I also am very fond of test preparation, having gone through and tutored students in both SAT and LSAT content and test taking strategy preparation. I also have experience tutoring Russian as a foreign language, and am most comfortable tutoring students in basic and intermediate reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. My philosophy on tutoring is crafting the pace and structure of each lesson to the student's individual needs and talents. It is important to provide a framework for each student to develop their own individual writing and learning style. In regards to test prep, learning content comes first, but learning how to take the LSAT and SAT is critical to maximizing points and "gaming" the test.
