About Me

I am a graduate of Yale University, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in History. I received two prizes for my senior thesis, and was a Yale Journalism Scholar. At Yale, I worked as a French tutor for two years and served as a Sports Editor at the Yale Daily News. After college, I served for two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the West African nation of Guinea-Conakry. There, I taught 5th grade full-time in French to 60 students in a village elementary school and tutored local high school students in English. My time in Guinea cemented my love of working with children and teenagers, and I am currently pursuing a career as a teacher. I tutor a broad range of subjects, but am most passionate about French and History/Social Studies. As a tutor, I don't simply answer questions; I would rather give students the guidance and support to help them find the answers themselves. I look forward to serving as a friend and mentor to my students - I know that they need to feel comfortable to take full advantage of our sessions. I enjoy playing soccer, listening to music, writing and traveling the world.
