About Me

I am a graduate of Washington State University with a bachelor's degree in wildlife ecology. I currently work as an educator at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, where I teach students ages 5 to 18 about the natural world. I am very passionate about education, especially topics like biology, chemistry, and math. I believe that learning is a process, and students must be patient to understand this to be successful. I also currently tutor a sixth grader in time management, organizational skills and adjusting to more difficult topics in school. In June, I hope to be starting graduate school to get my Master's degree in teaching math and science. With this, I plan to teach high school science, specifically biology. In my free time, I love running, working out, skiing, hiking, playing with my dog and hanging out with friends and family! Hobbies: movies, books, running, hiking, reading, music, writing, art
