About Me

I have over 10 years of experience tutoring students in English and all types of History. I have also tutored students in preparation for the HiSET, ACT, SAT and other entrance exams. I love tutoring because it gives me a chance to work individually with each student. My teaching style is very student centered approach which allows the tutoring atmosphere to be particularly great because I can focus on your student and his or her specific needs. I have experience in various types of classroom settings including inclusion. I taught special education for over 10 years and developed curriculum and lesson plans for my students. This required me to work with the classroom teacher to develop the individual goals of each student. I also worked with English as Second language students. I love History because no matter how much you look into the past there is always something more to find and discover. Learning history also provides a different point of view to look at the past with. English is fascinating because it helps students to expand their imagination. English also allows a student to put his/her thoughts into motion.
