About Me

I have over twenty years of teaching and tutoring experience. For 14 years I taught career and technical education courses at the high school level. I have also worked as a home-bound teacher, and substitute teacher in varying subjects. I have high expectations for student achievement and stress that school is a place for learning. I believe that it is important to show the students that what they learn in the classroom transfers into the real world. Students are encouraged to express their knowledge in a variety of ways, which encompass all learning styles. I will use many different techniques to bring instruction to an individualized level. In order for student achievement to occur, teachers must be aware of the different learning styles. I support each student's learning with positive reinforcement and give suggestions for improvement a job well-done.
