I am a highly motivated, with a practical experience in both fields (design and teaching) experience in the design industry. I have taught classes in Univ. of Colorado Denver. Hailing from a grandmother and mother who are both public school teachers, my passion for mentorship and tutoring started at a young age and my new degree from the University of Colorado - Boulder allows me to better help students in need.

I have taught early childhood special needs to women who are transitioning from prison into the work world. I am fascinated with the learning styles that determine how someone interprets their world. Living to learn is my mantra. Every week brings new fascinating experiences. I look forward to meeting new people that want to better their walks through life.

Having a positive influence on kids' lives early on is important to me, because we are the people they will remember and look up to for the rest of their lives. I worked in classrooms doing writing workshops and even taught English as a part of my internship while studying abroad in Senegal. Working at a tutoring center, I focused on upper level math and advanced placement courses. When I am not tutoring, I am studying to be an EMT. I also love backpacking and adventuring.

...I am currently a Masters student in Indo-Tibetan Buddhism at Naropa University in Boulder, CO. Previously, I had attended the Colorado School of Mines earning a bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics. I aspire to become a professor of Buddhist philosophy integrating contemplative studies with rigorous scientific and formal logics. Apart from scholastic endeavors, I spend much of my time wandering the Colorado mountains, practicing the piano, and studying the world around me.
