My name is Fitsum. I was born and raised in Ethiopia. I have completed my bachelor degree in Neuroscience and currently serve as a tutor at Richland community college. I am interested in helping students in Math and Science.

I primarily tutor Genetics/MCAT biological sciences and physical sciences (I scored 132's on both of those sections). I also do introductory classes such as organic chemistry, biology, algebra based physics, organic chemistry!

I'm currently a math and physics major at MIT and I've had several years of practice teaching math to high school students. I like to emphasize completely understanding a concept patiently in a way the student would enjoy learning, over blind memorization of facts and formulas.

I have learned a great deal in my history of tutoring. I believe that learning is a unique process for each individual, and that it is crucial to understand how to best guide the student through that process, rather than assuming they will always succeed in the same form of instruction as others.
