Get in touch with Varsity Tutors if you are interested in Los Angeles NCLEX prep. The NCLEX is administered by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc (NCSBN). Those seeking a Registered Nurse license need to take the NCLEX-RN, and those seeking to be licensed as a Practical or Vocational Nurse need to take the NCLEX-PN. Students at schools like the University of California - Los Angeles, California State University - Long Beach, and other universities in the greater Los Angeles area can benefit from additional NCLEX preparation.
What can I learn when getting Los Angeles NCLEX prep?
The NCLEX tests prospective nurses on their knowledge of health issues and practical medical care. The test is based on a framework that focuses on client needs. For example, one of the topics covered on the test is the nursing process. This includes assessing a client's needs, creating a plan to care for them, and implementing that plan.
The NCLEX uses computer adaptive testing to present questions to you based on your knowledge. Each question will be chosen based on your answer to the previous question. This way, the test will not be too difficult or too easy for you. The number of questions you will be presented with will also depend on your answers. On the NCLEX-RN, you will have a minimum of 75 questions and a maximum of 265 questions. Maximum testing time will be six hours, including the tutorial and breaks. On the NCLEX-PN, you will have a minimum of 85 questions and a maximum of 205 questions. Maximum testing time will be five hours.
What kind of Los Angeles NCLEX prep can I get?
You have two options for preparing for the NCLEX in Los Angeles. Many students opt to sign up for a Los Angeles NCLEX prep class. When studying in a virtual class, you can participate in a variety of methods. You can ask questions, answer questions posed by other students, and join in on group discussions. Since our classes are administered over the internet, you can benefit from them without having to leave your home.
Another benefit of joining a class is that your teacher can follow a curriculum that covers all of the topics you need to know for the test. Getting a comprehensive review can help you fill gaps in your knowledge and discover misunderstandings. Your teacher can also recommend resources for you to use during your private studies. If you feel that you need one-on-one time with your class instructor, you can request that as well.
Many students opt to sign up for private mentoring with a Los Angeles NCLEX tutor. Studying with a private tutor allows you to study at your own pace. You can schedule as many tutoring sessions as you need. This way, you don't have to feel any time pressure and you can ask as many questions as you want.
Your private mentor can assess your current knowledge and spot your weak points. They can come up with a study plan to address those weak points and review the topics which you are struggling with while skipping topics you already understand. If you do not have a lot of time before you will take the test, your mentor can focus on the most important topics so that you can be as prepared as possible.
Your mentor can also administer practice tests and monitor your performance. They can give you advice on how to pace yourself on time-limited tests. Working with a private mentor can help keep you motivated to succeed. You can come to look forward to your tutoring sessions. Your mentor can even create a study plan for you to follow when you are reviewing during your free time. You can meet with your instructor on the internet, using our Live Learning Platform. This platform makes it easy to interact with your instructor. You can also request in-person tutoring if you so prefer.
