I am a graduate of Saint Mary's College of California with dual Bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Theology. I have a genuine passion for math and love helping students discover the clarity and satisfaction that comes from mastering challenging concepts. Over the past several years, I have worked with both long-term students and drop-in learners, tutoring high school and elementary students weekly as well as leading open online math sessions. My students benefit from consistent guidance that keeps them on track, confident, and less stressed about schoolwork.
In my lessons, I use Zoom, interactive whiteboards, and custom math pages that I design with LaTeX to make concepts clear and approachable. I adapt constantly checking in often, noticing frustration early, and shifting strategies until the concept "clicks." When a student needs extra encouragement, I bring in puzzles or short stories to make learning more engaging and memorable.
As a father, I've learned the value of patience, encouragement, and persistence qualities I bring to every tutoring session. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, develop problem-solving skills, and grow in confidence as learners.

Hobbies

Outside of teaching, I enjoy living out the Catholic faith with my wife and son. Much of our free time is spent working outdoors and learning to live in a more homestead way. For fun, we enjoy surfing and skateboarding, but we also spend time canning, gardening, preserving food, and cooking with whole ingredients. You can usually find us learning something new, failing at it, and then trying again in a different way. Persistence and patience are the name of the game in everything we do — lessons that shape not only our hobbies, but also the way I approach teaching and learning.
