As a passionate educator with a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, I have over 5 years of tutoring experience, specializing in writing, literature, and history. My approach centers on understanding each student's unique starting point, fostering a supportive environment where they can discover and develop their own voice. I believe that every piece of writing, no matter how mundane, holds significance and potential for connection. By employing strategies that blend instruction with elicitation, I guide students in articulating their ideas and structuring their arguments effectively. My goal is to empower students, particularly at the high school and college levels, to recognize the power of their words and the impact they can have. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy exploring literature and writing--as well as a natural interest in history--which continuously fuels my passion for teaching.
